In 1924, Harry J. Collis and his friend and Olympia Fields Country Club member Harry B. Smead incorporated the Flossmoor Nurseries, Inc. Their stolon and sod were used throughout the United States and can still be seen on Flossmoor Country Club and Cog Hill #2.
